Hello All...
Nathan and I have bombarded with News lately...Some good... some GREAT, some of course not so good. Lets start with the good news... Nathan and I have accepted a position to Pastor in Essex Ontario. We are moving to Ontario in 81 days:). (Which is April 30th).... We are sooooooooo exited about this opportunity.. and look forward to getting to know the people whom will soon become our new church family.
Also, Now that I am done school (as of December 11th)... I have been working at the hospital here in Kentville as a Practical Nurse... this week we should recieve the results of our exam in the mail as to whether or not I will qualify to buy my license or not... so were still waiting rather impatiently for this to come!!! However, its an AMAZING feeling to be making some money in the meantime... using the skills that I have accumulated during my academic dayss ;)
More good news... I am scheduled to Graduate on February 23rd, 2007, and was just recently chosen to serve at the NSCC Class of 2006's Valedictorian. I've already started to work on my speech... Nathan will help me of course, with editing and proofing and whatnot... but were very excited about this honor as well.
A little excitment for me... (on the side)... is that I will be getting a pink razor cell phone on the weekend. My Aunt works at Telus and is hookin' us up with a killer deal... she had to order a pink phone from NB but it came in yesterday, so we pick it up tomorrow... EEEEEE... I'm sooooooo excited!!!!
Now for the bad news.... In addition to working Casually at the hospital, I also had a PT job working as a private Care worker in Wolfville for an elderly couple. The man was 97 and the lady was 89... February 6th he passed away.... So its been a pretty bittersweet week. Also... we woke up this morning and found our fish dead on the counter... seems he jumped out of his water last night and ...died. Saddness!!!
