So much to Cover...

Hello everyone...

I can't believe how long it's been since my last post!!!! We have so much news to share now!!!

We are all settled into our new home in Essex Ontario now. We are very much enjoying our new place... and are involved so many wonderful things.

First of all, Nathan is pastoring at Essex Gospel Tabernacle -- hence the reason we moved here in the first place!!! He is very much enjoying his job as Music/Youth pastor- and will also start teaching a distant ed course for Masters College & Seminary this month. Teaching has always been a dream of his, so he is working hard on this task!! I'll attach a pic of the church...

Next, I started working a part time position in August a a close by nursing home, and LOVE it there. I never thought I could enjoy working so much as I do there- both my co-workers and clients are fantastic.

I also was cast in a theatre musical that is running at the Windsor Chrysler Theatre in March and April. The musical is AIDA, and I will be joining the women ensemble for this show. My pic is posted on the website... check it out http://www.theatrealive.com/

I've been taking voice lessons since May of '07 at an Acadamie in Windsor as well. I hope to perhaps start my B.Mus in September of this year... so the voice lessons are helping me prepare for that. My voice teacher is encouraging me to also enter kiwanis this year as her student, so I am starting to prepare for that. Nathan bought me 2 new vocal books this year, and one of them is the score from Phantom of the Opera... so I hope to try and do something from that.

We had a really nice 5 days home for Christmas. It flew by but we enjoyed our visit very much. We stayed with Mom and Dad for the first 2 nights...

While we were in Halifax we visited with my cousins and Aunts and Uncles. We also had a wonderful opportunity to see Pastor David and Carol again, we met them for coffee at a Tim's in Halifax. It was so awesome to have to chance to reminicse.

...and then travelled to Yarmouth to visit with Mary and Hallett for the last two nights. On the way of course we stopped to visit with our good friends: Peter & Sandy and their two little girls Nova and Quinn. And we had a Chinese lunch with Jeets and Andrew...

We arrived home in time for presents and supper at the Hills... It was a great day!! On Friday we headed over to Nathan's Aunt Kathy's house for a reunion with all his cousins and Aunts/Uncles. It was a great time to get to meet some of the cousins that I hadn't met yet, and to chat with some of the ones that I know well.

We had a quick breakfast with Nathan's parents on our last morning in Yarmouth, and then headed home.

We hit a snowstorm on the way home and didn't quite know if we were gonna make our flight... or if the flight would even still be running...But in the end we made it home. We boarded our plane at 2:20 and sat on the non-moving plane for about 2 hours. We finally took off, arriving in Toronto around 6:30 local time, and JUST missed the shuttle back to our hotel. So we had to wait another hour for that... to find our car having a FLAT tire!!! So we drove around DT Toronto for a while very slowly with four way flashers on trying to find a gas station with an air pump. Haha... what joys. To make a VERY long story short we pulled into our driveway at 2:15 AM. WHAT A NIGHT!!!
