Friday night was a date night for Nathan and I. We went out to Swiss Chalet for their festive special, and then headed down to the Capitol Theatre for the theatre alive christmas production of "A Christmas to Remember: 1959". Mallory was home watching Ben for us- and we had such a lovely time together!! Last year we went on a christmas date just like this, and Ben was born the next night :) Luckily this post is being written 3 nights later, and little girl is still comfortably resting in her Mama's belly!!
Saturday we got up early and started the finishing touches on Ben's room! Nathan went to Windsor and bought both the new closet and regular doors. Then he came home and hung them! We were planning to do a final clean and put the last touches on his new room, allowing him to sleep in there for his first night... but, we decided to take advantage of a sale- and made an impromptu trip over to Michigan to finish some of our christmas shopping!! We stopped at Denny's for supper, a first for us, and made it home by 1030 :) (LONG DAY!!)
Sunday- is just the usual busy day! We had church in the morning, which was the sunday school christmas concert! The kids did a great job- and we enjoyed some laughs!! Then we went to Swiss Chalet for lunch ('Tis the season!!) with Amber & Sal, and Brandon & Nancy, which is always a great time!! :) Then Nathan and I did some more shopping to finish off our gifts for those people at home! Then we came home and I wrapped everything up, and put our Halifax and Yarmouth boxes together to be sent out Canada Post today!!!
Which brings me to today! Like I mentioned above, I am sending our christmas boxes today, and I am also heading out to Leamington with a friend from church, Christine, and were going to stock up on baby food from the Heinz depot!! Then this afternoon, we are going to finally do the last finishing touches on Ben's room and get him ready for his first sleep in his big boy's bed!!
Wish us luck :)
Here are a few pictures from this weekend (Sunday).
